Preview of NoLimits Coaster 2 Supports

What follows is the progress that has been mad eon structures and supports. The supports in NL2 will be a lot more advanced than the ones found in NL1. A lot more options will be available and it will be much easier to create structures with them. There’s a new support node called the Beam Node. These work like free nodes but remain attached to the beam. There’s an additional beam node that when rendered it will appear as flange. This makes adding flanges very easy and you can drag it along the support to place the flange where you desire. Another new feature is the ability to copy/paste/rotate custom designed supports. Work is in progress for special track connectors that work very similar to the NL1 rail nodes. There’s a lot of flexibility since the connectors and beams can be edited independently of each other. What follows is a ...

No Limits Coaster 2 April Fools 2012

Its that time of year again! It’s time for the yearly April Fools joke from the NL 2 team. This time around is a move believable one. You know about the small sphere carts that mechanics use to ride the track and like either push/pull a valleyed coaster? Well the joke this year is that you can ride in one in NL2 and operate it. You can see pictures of it below. I have to admit, this joke was better than the others!

Cat’s Out The Bag – No Release Date To Be Announced

So, back in 2009 they said NL2 would be done late 2011. Then it was mentioned that Ole moved so it was pushed back 2 months which would make it still late 2010or early 2011. Well, now it is December 24, 2011, a year since when the supposed release date arrived came and went and here’s an announcement about release dates: They want to be extra careful about what they show and not show because every time they post something, people start asking when will it be done and available. Well, that’s to be expected, people want to play with what you are showing them. If you’re Pedobear and reading this, don’t get any funny ideas. So now that the cat is out of the bag, the state that NL2 is nowhere near finished. They started talking about how many lines of code there are and basically stuff that the ...

You Got Fooled!

Also, so some people actually believed the April Fool’s joke was real. They cleared it up and ensured the zombies, gore and first person shooter are all fake. I guess they need to keep it down a notch or maybe the fans are just die hard that they refused to believe it was a joke xD With that said, they fessed up it was all photoshopped except for the rust/wear on the rails. That’s all real. They mention that almost every day NL2 is much more usable. Also, the choice of wearout, that rust/wear on the rails, can be set in the settings. Another thing to note in this April 22 update is that a new coaster style is introduced and it is called the rocket launch coaster. You can see it in the images provided below.

April Fools 2011

Its customary to put up an April Fools joke every year and this year is no exception. This joke basically turns NL 2 into a first person shooter. They have zombies, soldiers and the setting of course is a theme park. The park guests turn into zombies after watching the Apocalypse preshow. Anyway, pictures are posted below of what they posted for this April Fools 2011 joke.

Dive Machines And Tunnels for NL2

After several months without a true NL2 update, we finally get one. This one is in late 2010, which was to be the release of NL2 but right about now we feel this wont happen. However, we are treated to some pictures of dive machines and tunnels in NL2.  It is confirmed that you will indeed be able to do tunnels underground and in water, which was already announced back in July. The new news we see is actually of a new track/train type in NL2 and that is of the Dive Machine. It is 10 seats across and floorless like your typical dive machine. There’s mention of technical stuff but basically what it means is that everything should work as it does in real life, which is what a simulator is and that is NL2 xD Shading has been worked on and improved. You can see that in the ...

I Am Alive!

Alright, many wondered what happened to Ole. It’s been 3 months since the last updated and just wanted to say that there is still life in him! he recently moved to another place the last few weeks and has not been able to work on the development of Nolimits Coaster 2. He mentions the last thing he was working on was the tunneling through the terrain and water. He also made mention that it already worked quite well. It is estimated that the move delayed the release date by about 2 months so it still looks like a late 2010 release or early 2011 release date. There’s no pictures to provide you this time, sorry!
