NL2 Generated Track Update

It’s Easter again and it is time for another update! Progress has been make in NL2 and below you will find 2 screenshots showing you the generated track. You will notice the paint from the rails has been peeled due to the train going over it constantly and you’ll also notice the water reflections are much improved. Also noticed the terrain and how it blends from grass to dirt and mud giving a much realer feel. NL2 will truly be something magnificent once it is done and as stated in December 2009, I hope to finish late this year (2010). Happy Holidays For 2009

Ole is quite excited to be working on NL2 right now. A lot of the time he spent on the groundwork is finally starting to pay off. If he continues to work on it as he has been working on it, NL2 will be finished by late 2010. Most of the background and environment has been finished. The screenshot above shows the terrain is entirely 3D and automatically generated. The setup is included in the environment and can be customized right within an environment editor within NL2. The particle effects of the snow are also new. You can change the intensity of the snow right in the simulator itself. In early 2012 look forward to seeing new steel coaster tracks with textures and will certainly look much better than they do in the current NL version.
